The Retreat

Join an intimate group of 10-14 people with Parkinson's (although partners, friends, and carers are also welcome!) to share a healing, nourishing, rejuvenating experience in the stunning Italian countryside, participating in specific activities and therapies designed to promote de-stressing and deep relaxation. Such activities are grouped around gentle movement and stretching, massage therapies, delicious Mediterranean, seasonal and nourishing food, group discussions, walks in nature or a swim with the overall aim of regulating the nervous system to allow the body to move from survival mode to rejuvenating and healing mode.

Equally importantly, we'll create a supportive environment and a sense of community, where people can come together, to decompress and rest, share best practices and experiences, and make new connections and friends.

A typical day is set out below. However, we're of course conscious that people can often be on different daily timelines, given medication routines and general energy and on/off symptom changes, so the daily schedule will be flexible and take that into account. If you don't feel up to yoga, for example, take a walk in the gardens or have a snooze by the pool.
